Went for German night. Food was horrible, not remotely authentic. ( I lived in Germany for three years) The red cabbage was passable but barely. Prices were outlandish for return exchange of food. Waitstaff would have been repremanded or fired for behavior. Management couldn't take money correctlyI have not been back

Good food great atmosphere

The Wooden Shoe has been a staple in Minster for years. The new owners have taken all of the things we have loved about it and made it even better! We have been there three times since it reopened and have been pleased each and every time. The sauerkraut balls are wonderful! Chef Joe Phlipot is a master in the kitchen! Can't wait to go back.

Had dinner here last night. Everything was great. Our server did a fantastic job, and the food was delicious. We will definitely be back in the future.

Food was good! Portions were not large. Interesting and beautiful bar from the 40's (I think).

Sue and I made a return visit to the Wooden Shoe Inn, Friday. We both had the perch special with fries and a tossed salad. It isn't often that perch is available, and we weren't disappointed. They had malt vinegar which we like on the fries. Sue had a Weursteiner (?) draft beer; it's a dark creamy brew, that is not bitter at all. Good flavor! Topped off with Carrot Cake and coffee (decaf, of course!). We enjoyed both.The atmosphere is enjoyable. Certainly, it's worth the drive to Minster!

Do not plan to dine here if you require a wheelchair or power chair. They have no handicap accessible entrance. We traveled to minster with a great group of people and two were in wheelchairs. We were unable to even enter the establishment. Very disappointed.

Service was wonderful. Food was very good. However, sadly it was VERY noisy even though capacity was low due to the need to social distance.

Everything was great!! Nice remodel, terrific service, delicious and relatively healthy food at a good price, and an interesting cocktail menu. Will definitely go back soon!

The customer service is constantly swift, awesome ambience, super friendly employees. I will eat here again when I am here.

I would give this place a five star rating, but this Easter Sunday, while it was very busy in there, we had to wait a long time for our food. When the food got there, it was well over done. I felt like I was eating breading with little pieces of chicken spread in there. It was so dry and hard to eat. I think they were so busy that he didn't check the deep fryer. The servers were great and as a family we had a great time. One batch of fried chicken was just a little overcooked. I believe that on any other given day the chicken would've been perfect! We have always appreciated the staff at the Woodenshoe.

I have dining there since I was a child in the late '40s. It almost goes without saying that I have ordered the Chicken Dinner with shoestring fries, both of which are the best I have ever had! Now in my mid 70s I still go there whenever I am near even though I live un Lexington, Kentucky.

Several things, service was good, but our meal was awlful, we all had the chicken basket, if they would have changed their grease pit would have been much better, my husband's cihicken barely had any on the bone fries we same as the chicken for the five piece basket and fries wasn't good, bread was dry. Only thing that was worth eating was the salad. Could had some radishes, carrots, a little shredded cheese on it but was just lettuce. I know we aren't going to go back.

Not as good as 20 years ago. My chicken was very good but i would have like mashed potatoes and gravy. It came with fries and i said ok but the fries were extremely thin. Not like the good old days.

They ran out of non dairy creamers and ran to the store to buy me more. With a fresh cup of coffee. They bent over backwards to make the customer happy!!!

food was pretty good, service was even better. very relaxing place, great atmosphere. I got fried chicken and baked potato. the chicken was average, but the potato was very delicious. overall a very pleasant experience.

My son and I are African American and my husband is Caucasian; however my family and I witnessed that we (African Americans) were are not welcome to this place! The owner was upset because I ordered a drink that they didn't have and I was sick for several days after my family and I dined in, but on the other hand the waiter tried to overshadow the rudeness of the owner!

Dependably great fried Chicken. Best possible tenders. Fries are awesome. Historic restaurant with consistent quality & friendly service. Not gourmet but the best chicken shack in Ohio.

Very good food! Very relaxing and the waiter was very good, had us try the mustard/bbq like sauce etc. I will definitely return.

Had dinner here tonight with my parents. Super clean, friendly staff. I had salmon with a bourbon bock sauce, very good. My husband and mother really enjoyed the chicken. My father had the walleye. Salads had a variety of greens and homemade croutons. We found out the bread was baked on-site, a pumpernickel and a rye, very good. It is noisy in the back room but for a newly opened restaurant we had no complaints about the food or service.

The Wooden Shoe is a wonderful restaurant. A great dining experience. The waiting staff and the bartenders are very friendly and energetic. They have an expanded menu and I haven't had anything that was sub par yet. I would highly recommend the Wooden Shoe for your next dining experience PS. Try the pretzels!

Foo and service was great!

We just discovered this little gem today while out for a drive and we decided to stop in and check them out. Gotta admit, we were VERY surprised! The food was amazing and the service was even better! If your looking for good homemade food joint then look no further! The food is not expensive when you see the portion sizes they serve. Awesome service, amazing food and great prices! Highly recommended!

Worst chicken I've ever had. 2 boneless skinless chicken breasts, looked like they came off a baby chick, and dry as a bone for 13.50. my son and mother's fries chicken was also awful. Waitress was really nice, the only good thing about the place.

Updates at the restaurant are beautiful, but the food (especially the chicken) are not the same
